Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and three other people were injured.

The assaults follow nights of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
